Happy 100th Birthday of Hostelling International!

Today is a historic day. This day, 100 years ago, the hostel movement was founded by Richard Schirrmann. The anniversary is being celebrated by HI member associations all over the world. A lot of activities have already happened, a lot of activities are happening today and many are still to come.
To highlight the importance of the 26 August, Hostelling International has today announced the winner of the HI Anniversary Competition on hihostels.com. Out of nearly 1,100 entries, a photo by Christian Torrico from Argentina was chosen for best describing “My Best Hostel Experience”.
